June 18

TOLLAND/WILLINGTON, CT - Diane Zion, 22, of 22 Coolidge Road, Marblehead, MA, was charged with reckless driving and disobeying the signal of an officer at 11:13 p.m., state police said. She was clocked at 103 mph, near Exit 68 on Interstate-84 eastbound and did not pull per car over for a trooper until the two were in Willington, state police said.

June 17

VERNON, CT - Ian Wisnewaki, 33, of 165 Cypress St., Newington, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane after being pulled over for erratic driving, on Interstate-84, according to an arrest report. He failed standardized field sobriety test, state police said. He is due in court on June 27, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT - At 10:39 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Dogwood Lane in Ellington after receiving a complaint about a “physical” domestic incident that took place earlier that night, according to a police report. The incident took place at Stafford Motors Speedway, according to an arrest report. Nichole Sullivan, 38, of 11 Dogwood Lane, Ellington, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, according to an arrest report. Sullivan posted a $1,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court on June 20, according to an arrest report. The incident at the speedway at first was verbal, but then turned physical and Sullivan struck the victim in the case in front of children, according to an arrest report. State police tacked on a risk of injury to a child charge for that, according to an arrest report.

June 16

TOLLAND, CT - A Manchester Man was charged with driving under the influence after his car became stuck in a pile of mulch in Tolland. The crash took place at 11:44 p.m. at 153 Hartford Turnpike, according to an arrest report. State police receive a complaint that a vehicle had passed through the parking lot at the Exxon gas station on Hartford Turnpike and became stuck "in a mulch bed." Troopers arrived on the scene and administered a standardized field sobriety tests to the driver - Kunal De, 31, of 166 Tudor lane, Manchester. He failed the tests, was charged with DUI and assigned a court date of June 27, state police said. He posted a $500 bond, according to an arrest report.

TOLLAND, CT - Jena Grey, 31, of 106 Mountain Ridge Road, Coventry, was charged with driving under the influence and lane and insurance violations after a crash on Interstate-84 at 10:44 p.m., according to an arrest report. She failed a series of field sobriety tests state police said.

VERNON, CT - A Vernon man is due in court next week to explain to a judge why he tried to hit a state trooper with a hard hat after he was pulled over for using a phantom, doctored license state police said.
The incident took place at 9:27 a.m. on June 16, when a trooper near Green Circle in Vernon noticed a Chevy Tahoe truck driven by Brian Miltz go past her with a "mutilated" license plate. The plate was spray-painted on the lower part, making it difficult to read, according to an arrest report. The plate was assigned to another vehicle, according to an arrest report. Miltz, 39, refused to give up his keys and became belligerent when questioned. He tried to put the key back into the ignition and was subdued with pepper spray, according to an arrest report. He then had to be sprayed a second time after grabbing a hard hat and swinging it toward a trooper, according to an arrest report. He was charged with the license plate violation, operating an unregistered vehicle, mutilating an motor vehicle ID number, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct, state police said. He is due in court on June 26, according to an arrest report.

June 15
ELLINGTON, CT - Thomas Moynihan, 30, was charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree larceny for an incident last July, state police said. He lives at 574 Hopewell Road, South Glastonbury, state police said.
