Tuition Increases for UConn?
A university official predicts budget shortfalls will necessitate tuition increases.

With an anticipated $40 million budget gap in 2017, the University of Connecticut reportedly already is considering a tuition increase.
On Wednesday, UConnβs Chief Financial Officer Scott Jordan informed the schoolβs trustees on that a $40 million budget gap in the 2017 fiscal year is expected, according to WTIC.
In-state students now pay about $25,500 a year to attend UConn and out-of -state students pay about $47,000.

If tuition isnβt increased, there some sports could be eliminated, larger classes and fewer courses offered, Jordan predicted.
