UConn Cops: Manchester Residents Accused of Beating Up Woman, Leaving Her on Sidewalk
They were picked up in Coventry after fleeing the scene, police said.

STORRS, CT — Two Manchester residents are accused of beating up a woman at the University of Connecticut and leaving her unconscious on a sidewalk, according to an arrest report.
Matthew Danforth, 27 and Chelsea Mack, 26, both of Foxcroft Drive in Manchester, were charged with second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace for the Oct. 11 incident, UConn police said.
Both were booked and held on $250,000 bonds until their first court appearance the following day, according to judicial system and police records.

Both are due back in court on Nov. 11, according to judicial system records. Mack was released on a $15,000 bond, but Danforth remained in custody in an $85,000 bond judicial system records indicate.
UConn police said they received a call at 9:47 p.m. on Oct. 11 about a confrontation between a man and a woman near Shippee Hall, according to an arrest report. When officers arrived, they found a woman on the sidewalk unconscious, according to an arrest report.

Witnesses and security camera footage gave UConn police enough probable cause evidence to seek Mack and Danforth and the two were picked up by Coventry police, according to an arrest report.
Police said the woman was taken to a local hospital but were not specific in an arrest report about her injuries.
