UConn Health Celebrates Opening of Services at Storrs Center
The UConn Health Storrs Center Medical and Dental Offices has more than 20,000 square feet and nearly 40 employees.

UConn Leaders, Elected Officials Dedicate Local Medical, Dental, Urgent Care Services
UConn PresidentΒ Susan HerbstΒ andΒ Frank Torti, UConn Health executive vice president for health affairs and medical school dean, led a celebration of the opening of UConn Healthβs medical, dental and urgent care services atΒ Storrs CenterΒ Thursday.
βItβs been one of my goals for many years to plant the UConn Health flag in Storrs Center, near the University community,β Herbst said.
βI am proud to say that we have assembled a team of world-class experts and highly accomplished physicians and providers for the greater Storrs community,β Torti said.

The UConn Health Storrs Center Medical and Dental Offices, 1 Royce Circle, Mansfield, consists of more than 20,000 square feet and has nearly 40 employees. TheΒ building opened in December, with the first services offered including primary care, occupational medicine, cardiology, orthopedics and sports medicine, general surgery, plastic surgery, x-ray, and a blood draw station. UConn HealthΒ Urgent Care opened in March. Dental offices are scheduled to open in mid-July, with dermatology and psychiatry to follow later this year.
βMansfield is a small town but thanks to the University we have sports, arts, culture and now, more options for health care,β said Mansfield Mayor Betsy Paterson.

βThe UConn Health offices are helping to meet the health care needs of eastern Connecticut,β said State Rep. Gregg Haddad (D-Mansfield).
