UConn Student Hit, Killed by Campus Shuttle Bus

A student was hit and killed by a campus shuttle bus Tuesday night on the Storrs campus. 

David N. Plamondon, 20, of Westminster, MA, was walking at the intersection of Hillside Road and Alumni Drive around 8 p.m. last night when he was struck by a bus, according to a statement released by Major Ronald Blicher.

Plamondon died due to the severity of his injuries, according to UConn police.

UConn Police, fire and paramedics responded to the scene.

No charges have been filed Blicher said in a news release. Campus police are investigating the accident with assistance from the Connecticut State Police truck squad/accident reconstructionists and witnesses.

The university shuttle bus service was running on a normal schedule Wednesday morning.
