UPDATED: Victory Lap for UConn Women's Basketball Team Called Off, But Rally Slated for Inside Gampel
UConn calls off procession because of chilly weather.
STORRS - A "victory lap" scheduled for 5:15 p.m. today to welcome the University of Connecticut women's basketball team back to campus following the Huskies' 11th national championship has been called off because of chilly temperature. A rally will still take place at that time at Gampel Pavilion.
UConn defeated Syracuse 82-51 Tuesday night to win another national title.
The Huskies return from Indianapolis today, UConn officials said.

Once the Huskies return to Storrs from Bradley International Airport, the procession will proceed from Town Square in Storrs Center to Mansfield Road.
The procession will take a left onto Mansfield Road, a left onto Gilbert Road and a right onto Hillside Road and finish with a 5:30 p.m. rally at Gampel Pavilion, UConn officials said.
