Wallingford Teen Slips Out of Cuffs, But Still Collared As UConn Police Break Up Outdoor Classroom Party
She is facing underage alcohol charges, UConn police said.

STORRS, CT - A Wallingford teen scuffled with University of Connecticut police after they intervened at weekend party on Horsebarn Hill, an arrest report indicates.
Officers were called to the party at 10:23 p.m. on Saturday at the Outdoor Classroom, 3149 Horsebarn Hill Road, according to an arrest report. Officers in an arrest report said they saw a female, identified as 19-year-old Deahanna Acorda, carrying a box of liquor bottles.
Acorda lives at 29 Sycamore Way, Wallingford, according to police records.

Acorda "appeared to be under the age of 21" officers said in an arrest report, so they questioned her. When Acorda was asked for her identification, she "continually" tried to hide it from officers, according to an arrest report.
Acorda began to struggle and pull away from the officers, was handcuffed and then slipped a hand out of cuffs while continuing to scuffle with officers, according to an arrest report.

Acorda was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and interfering with an officer and is due to appear in Rockville Superior Court on April 25, UConn police said.
