What Are the 20 Safest Places in Connecticut? This Company's Got a List
Here are the 20 safest communities in Connecticut, according to an examination of 2012 crime statistics by a security company.
A comparison of crime statistics done by a company that sells security cameras recently ranked the 20 safest communities in the state.
The safest, according to the company’s announcement, are Ridgefield, Weston and Darien. Those towns, along with five of the other top 10 towns, are all in Fairfield County.
The list was put together by Safe Choice Security, a Jacksonville, FL-based company that also issued rankings for other states.

“Safe Choice Security consulted the 2012 FBI Crime Statistics report to get the inside scoop on the 20 safest cities to live in Connecticut. [Researchers compared] FBI statistics on property and violent crime rates in cities around Connecticut,” the company said in a blog post on its website.
