Willimantic Man Charged With Beating Dog With Bat: Report
A man is being charged on allegations that he beat a dog with a bat.
WILLIMANTIC, CT — A man was charged on accusations he beat a dog with a bat in Willimantic in July, according to WTNH News-8. Luis Perez, 35, was charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Animal rights advocates are calling for harsher penalties following the incident.
The dog was taken into state custody and is now in a local pound.
