Willimantic Marches To The Beat Of Its Own Boom Box

Willimantic celebrated America's Birthday with boom boxes instead of a marching band in the 26th annual WILI Boom Box Parade.

WILI Radio supplied the marching band music via the airwaves, the floats and people marching cranked their boom boxes, and thus the WILI Boom Box Parade was born.

And for 26 years, it's been going strong; 2011 was no exception.
