3 Meriden Officers Placed On Admin Assignments After Shooting
Three officers who fired their guns at an armed man last week have been put on administrative assignments.

MERIDEN, CT - The three officers who shot an armed local man last week have been given administrative assignments, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. The officers have not been identified.
The officer-involved shooting occurred Thursday night at the CVS parking lot on East Main Street. Police said that the suspect was brandishing a weapon when three officers fired at him.

According to a police statement, five police officers traveling in an unmarked Buick Century began following the suspect on West Main Street at 10:23 p.m. The Buick traveled on I-691 eastbound and took exit 10 on Route 15 southbound.
Police said a firearm was discharged from inside the Buick at this time. Officers continued to follow the Buick onto East Main Street and into the CVS parking lot.

The Buick's driver, Ryan Holley, 41, of Meriden, exited the car with a gun in his hand and was still moving. Officers exited their vehicle and Holley turned toward them.
Three officers fired their weapons and struck Holley. He was transferred to Hartford Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No officers were injured. State police will assist the investigation of this incident and no charges have yet been filed.
