5-Car Pile-Up Shut Down I-91 In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT - A five-car crash near temporarily closed I-91 south Tuesday afternoon and left several people injured. The Meriden Record-Journal reported that 13 people were involved in the crash, which shut down the highway between exits 17 and 18. While crews cleared the scene, traffic backed up to Middletown.

CT News Alert reported that one extrication was completed and several patients were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
