Alleged Meriden Child Porn Producer Held Without Bond

Bond hearings have been postponed twice.

Mark Irvin, 63, will remain in federal custody without bond after his lawyer requested two postponements for bond hearings.

Irvin is charged with producing child pornography over the course of several years at his Meriden home. He is being represented by a public defender, according to the Record-Journal.

Irvin was charged with production and possession of child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum term of 30 years.

Police began investigating on Aug. 24 after receiving a noise complaint. The caller said noise was emanating from a tent on Irvin’s property and that pornography was being played and sex dolls were being used.

Police arrived and located two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy. Irvin was hiding naked nearby, according to the warrant.
