American Red Cross Helps Meriden Family After House Fire

Four adults are receiving emergency food and clothing after a fire destroyed their home fire on Kiki Drive in Meriden on Dec. 16.

According to Paul Shipman, Chief Communication Officer for the American Red Cross, the Red Cross is helping a family of four adults with emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a fire on Kiki Drive in Meriden. Red Cross volunteers Missy Lundeen and John Jensen responded to assist the residents.

The Red Cross provided comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to bring with them in the rush to escape the fire.

The American Red Cross disaster assistance is a free service that is made possible by donations and volunteers.
