City: Water & Sewer Billing Cycles Will Change (English & Spanish)

From the City of Meriden Department of Public Utilities:

Starting March 1, 2012, you will receive your first quarterly bill. Quarterly bills will be sent out March 1^st, June 1^st, September 1^st and December 1^st.

The December 1, 2011, water and sewer bills will be the last semi-annual billing. To transition into the quarterly billing the December 2011 billing period (normally 180 days +/-) and the March 1, 2012 and June 1, 2012 billing periods (normally 90 days +/-) will have between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) extra days on the billing cycle.

The shorter billing time will allow customers to address problems like leaks more quickly and avoid unnecessarily large bills. Because bills will be issued more frequently, the amount of each bill will be smaller and easier to plan for. We hope you agree that this change is an improvement.

AVISO A LOS CLIENTES DE AGUAS Y ALCANTARILLADO

Al partir del 1^ro de Marzo del 2012, recibirá su primera factura trimestral. Cuentas trimestrales se enviarán el 1^ro de Marzo, el 1^ro de Junio, el 1^ro de Septiembre y el 1^ro de Diciembre.

 Las facturas de agua y alcantarillado del 1^ro de Diciembre del 2011, serán las últimas semi-annuales. Para la transición en Diciembre 2011, su factura trimestral (normalmente +/-180 días) y el 1^ro de Marzo del 2012 y el 1^ro  de Junio del 2012, (normalmente 90 días +/-) tendrán entre 15 y 30 días adicionales cada facturación. 

El tiempo de facturación más corto permitirá a los clientes hacerle frente a los problemas  como los de fugas más rápidamente y evitar innecesariamente grandes facturas.   Porque las facturas se emitirán con más frecuencia, la cantidad de cada factura será más pequeña y más fácil de planificar.  Esperamos que este de acuerdo que este cambio es una mejora.
