The Director of Public Works for the City of Meriden wants to remind the citizens of Meriden that the Department of Public Works does not collect leaves in the spring.
The Transfer Station, which is located on Evansville Ave., is open Mondays from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Wednesdays from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM and the first and third Saturdays from 7:30 to Noon for the free disposal of leaves and brush.
Leaves must be in biodegradable paper bags or emptied from other containers.
