Notice of Public Meeting and Solicitation of Public Comments on Two Grant Applications to the US Environmental Protection Agency.

The public is invited to review/comment on 2 draft applications for the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) FY12 Brownfields Grants on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Women and Families Center, 183 Colony St, Meriden, CT.

The grants are: a $200,000 community-wide assessment grant with a focus on the downtown TOD district area
and a $200,000 cleanup grant for 116 Cook Avenue.

The City will discuss and solicit comments on the draft applications and draft Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) at the meeting, by phone and email. They may also be reviewed on weekdays at the Economic Development Office, City Hall, 142 East Main Street, from 9:00am-5:00pm and at the reference room of Meriden’s Public Library, 105 Miller Street, Monday to Wednesday 9:30am-8:30pm, and Thursday to Sat., 9:30am -5:00pm.
