‘Armed & Dangerous’ Robbery Suspect Sought In Meriden: Police

Police are trying to identify a suspect in connection to 3 robberies and say he may have sustained facial injuries during his last attempt.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in connection to three recent robberies in Meriden. Since Jan. 11, police have investigated three separate robberies in which a note was passed by the suspect and a weapon was implied but not displayed, according to Sgt. Darrin McKay.

The first robbery occurred at the “Boost Mobile” store, located at 298 East Main Street on Jan. 11. The second occurred on Jan. 25 at the “Subway” restaurant located at 511 West Main Street. The third occurred at the “Marisol Grocery” store located at 251 West Main Street.

“At no time during any robbery was any of the store staff injured nor were any bystanders,” McKay said in a press release. “However, the suspect may have sustained facial injuries during his last robbery attempt at the Marisol Grocery.”

The suspect is described by police as a black male believed to be in his 40s and he appears to have a large build as shown in the photographs.

“At this time we cannot confirm if the suspect was actually in possession of a weapon when he attempted these robberies, however, the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous,” McKay said.
