Armed Robber Attempts to Hold-Up Meriden Dunkin' Donuts: Report

The attempted robbery occurred Sunday night on East Main Street.

MERIDEN, CT — A lone assailant attempted to rob the Dunkin' Donuts on East Main Street in Meriden Sunday night but did not get away with any cash, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

The incident occurred at about 8:50 p.m. when a man walked into the store, displayed a weapon and demanded money. He tried to grab it out of the register but was unsuccessful and ran from the store, according to the publication.

The robber was described as standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
