Bomb Threat Called into Meriden Superior Court

The incident occurred early Tuesday afternoon.

Meriden, CT - State and local police were called to the Meriden Superior Court on West Main Street Tuesday afternoon following a reported bomb threat, according to authorities.

People could be seen outside of the facility following the 1 p.m. incident, but whether everyone inside had been evacuated was unclear, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

Authorities did not permit people back inside while building was being searched, but they completed the search by about 1:40 p.m. and reopened the facility.
