Bomb Threat Investigated At Business In Meriden: Police

Police are investigating a report of a bomb threat at a business in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are investigating a report of a bomb threat at a business in Meriden.

An employee at the call center for Jonal Labs received a call Tuesday morning from an anonymous caller who indicated that there was a bomb located in the building.

“The caller then hung up the phone without giving any other details,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The Police and Fire Department were immediately dispatched and are currently on scene investigating. Since ‘Jonal Labs’ have locations at 456 Center Street as well as 290 Pratt Street, both buildings are being checked. The Connecticut State Police are also assisted with a K-9 building search.

“At the time of this post, the locations have been checked and there does not appear to be any evidence of a bomb present.

“All locations have been checked and deemed to be safe at this time. We understand that having the roads closed may have been an inconvenience and would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding in this matter.”
