Bristol Man Burns Girl, 5, With Iron: Police
Police said a Bristol man has been charged with burning a 5-year old girl with a hot iron.

BRISTOL, CT - Police said a Bristol man has been charged with burning a 5-year old girl with a hot iron, NBC Connecticut reported. The suspect allegedly burned the victim because she might have wrinkled his clothes.
Police said Victor Diaz, 33, allegedly burned the victim through her jeans after she rolled onto the clothes he was ironing, according to NBC Connecticut. The girl's father saw the injury shortly after it happened, however the girl's mother told him it was a rash, police said.
The father said he noticed months later that the victim's scar was shaped like an iron and she subsequently told him what happened, NBC Connecticut reported. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court August 10.
