Brothers Wanted in Meriden Shooting Arrested by Police
One brother was arrested Wednesday and the other turned himself in Thursday.

Two brothers wanted for a shooting incident have been arrested by police.
Emilio Mercado was arrested Wednesday and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond. His brother Edward turned himself in on Thursday, according to police. He is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.

A woman was struck in the leg by a bullet that came through the ceiling on Oct. 19, according to the Record-Journal. She was living below the brothers.
Emilio is charged with second-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and three counts of first-degree reckless endangerment.

Edward was charged with criminal possession of ammunition, possession of more than one kilogram of marijuana with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on separate warrants for failure to appear.
