Update: Teen Bicyclist Injured in Meriden Accident
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon and involved a car.

A 14-year-old bicyclist was hit by motorist Tuesday afternoon in Meriden on Lewis Avenue near Springdale Avenue.
The crash happened around 1:43 p.m., said Lt. Thomas Cossette, unit commander of the accident reconstruction team.
The 14-year-old male was found in the middle of Lewis Lane and sustained a head injury and an injury to his right arm. He is listed in stable condition at Hartford Hospital Children’s Medical Center.

The operator was traveling south on Lewis Avenue when his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by the bicyclist.
