Citizens' Fire Academy Graduates First Class

MERIDEN, CT - The Fire Department celebrated the graduation of 18 community members from its citizens' fire academy recently, the Meriden Record-Journal reported. The class is the first to graduate and received CPR certificates and challenge coins for their accomplishments. The eight-week program included much of the same content as the fire department's "rookie school."
