Court Appearance on Forgery Charge Scheduled for Meriden Humane Society Director: Report
Marlena DiBianco was arrested on Sept. 7, following a police investigation.

MERIDEN, CT — Marlena DiBianco, director of the Meriden Humane Society, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court today, Sept. 20, to answer a second-degree forgery charge in connection with the alleged faking of a rabies vaccination certificate, reports WFSB-TV.
DiBianco was arrested on a warrant on Sept. 7 after turning herself in, according to police, who said the department launched an investigation in 2015.
"The basis for said warrant stems from the forging of a rabies certificate in which a non-vaccinated animal was adopted out to a member of the public leading the person who adopted said animal to believe that the animal had in fact been vaccinated," police wrote in a statement.
