Dog Found Heavily Abused in Meriden Adopted, Reward for Arrest Increased

Police are happy to report that Snowflake has been adopted. The reward for info leading to the arrest of the perps has been increased.

Snowflake is recovering from surgery and as of today will be permanently adopted. The reward for information on the person or persons responsible for her abuse has also been increased

“So many people had also expressed their willingness to adopt Snowflake and although she has now been placed into a loving home, it is so nice to know that so many kind hearted people were willing to step forward and open up their homes to her,” said Sgt. Darrin McKay.

Snowflake was found two weeks ago in Meriden with an elastic band wrapped around her snout. The band had been there so long that it embedded itself into Snowflake’s skin. She is a 1-year-old Maltese/Poodle mix.

All costs associated with Snowflake’s care have been satisfied, McKay said. A number of donations came in to the Meriden Police Department Animal Control Office.

The reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or person’s responsible for Snowflake’s injuries has been increased from $500 to $2,000. McKay said. Additional money came in to the Animal Control Office and another private donor has sent money.
