DUI Driver Crashes Into Home: Meriden Police

The driver was detained by several people until police arrived on the scene after a car crashed into a home earlier this week in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — Meriden Police say the driver who struck a utility pole and crashed into the front porch of a home on Britannia Street on Monday night was operating under the influence of heroin and Xanax, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports David Lanning, 25, of Rockville, was detained by several people until police arrived on the scene.
