Emails Point to Issues at Meriden Dispatch Center
Some incidents including how a 911 call about a shooting was handled are being investigated.

The Record-Journal obtained a number of emails through a Freedom of Information Act request.
Director of emergency communications Frank Kierman took responsibility for issues at the department and said mistakes have been made.
Police contacted the dispatch center about how a 911 call related to an April homicide was handled.
Police Union President Detective John Williams also sent an email to police leaders and Kierman expressing his concern about how a few ineffective dispatchers aren’t getting the necessary information.
