The public is invited to the Wallingford Public Library Monday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. for a program by Keith M. Belizzi, Ph.D., on how cancer affects both the patient and the patient’s close friends and family. Coping with the reality of the disease and its uncertain outcomes will be discussed. Dr. Belizzi has master’s degrees in public health and psychology and a Ph.D. in human development and family studies from the University of Connecticut. His presentation is a discussion of his own research and personal experiences with cancer. This program is co-sponsored by American Association of University Women Meriden branch, and the UConn College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. A brief AAUW business meeting will precede Dr. Belizzi’s presentation.
