Gallery 53, will host a father and daughter show, "Faith In Possibility, works of Gary and Kyle O'Neil" Faith in Possibilities" is a father/daughter exhibit that is reflective of the O'Neil Family life journey. They incorporate several themes and ideas depicting their rich heritage and culture. Viewers will see a "Tribal Threads" series which are sculptural forms that explore texture and pattern. This series is symbolic of the O'Neil's blend of Native American and African American heritage. Another series that is represented is "Comforts From Our Past." This is the O'Neil's newest collection of work; they used furniture from their ancestors to create monotypes, sculptures, and assemblages. The exhibit is an interesting example of the O'Neil's past and how they weave it into their lives. It brings new ideas to the table and demonstrates their love of humanity. It is the O'Neil's vision of "Faith in Possibilities." Faith and Possibility runs from June 7 - 28. The public is invited to the opening reception on June 15 from 1 -3 P.M.
Gallery 53 operates with support from the Ct. Department of Economic and Community Development.
