Fire at Vacant Meriden House Reportedly was Set Intentionally
Authorities are investigating the Sunday night fire at a vacant house on Hanover Road.

MERIDEN, CT — Authorities have determined that a Sunday night fire at a vacant house on Hanover Road in Meriden was deliberately set, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
The fire was reported at about 7 p.m., and it destroyed the front porch and siding. Fire personnel had the blaze under control by 7:30 p.m.
Officials said the Hanover Road fire was not related to the Monday fire on Davis Street that claimed the life of eight-year-old Elijah Ziolkowski, a fire that also has been deemed as deliberately set.
