Firearms Unaccounted for After Recent Meriden PD Audit
The department performed and audit and found an AR-15 and shotgun were unaccounted for.

A semi automatic AR-15 rifle and a shotgun that belong to Meriden Police are unaccounted for after a recent inventory audit.
The Record-Journal reports that the AR-15 is about 15 years old. It may have been stripped for parts as is common practice, according to police.
Police are checking back logs and sign out sheets to rule out any other possibilities.
