Meriden firefighters had to contend with responding to multiple fires, which was only a portion of their total 16 calls for Tuesday night.
Crews responded to N. Third St. and quickly extinguished a house fire, according to the Record-Journal. A car fire on Evansville was reported around the same time and firefighters responded, but it was deterined to fall into Wallingford’s jurisdiction.
A cooking fire was dealt with on Gravel St.
