Fundraiser Scheduled for Family of Meriden Girls Killed in Crash
The girls, 4 and 7-years-old died after the December crash in Bristol.

A fundraiser has been organized to help pay for the headstones of two Meriden children who were killed in a crash.
Veronica Martinez, 7, and Yvette Martinez, 4, died after a crash in Bristol during December. Mother Kayla Torres, 31, of Meriden was driving and a collision took place between their vehicle and another on Middle Street.
Torres and Miguel Melendez, 35, of New Britain were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The fundraiser will take place Jan. 30 at Dyaze Hair Bar in Middletown. For $15 participatns get an updo, facial and manicures, according to the Record-Journal.
