NEW BRITAIN – Two Gardening for Health lectures, led by horticulture therapist Jeff Eleveld, will be held Thursday, July 17 and Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 6:15-7:15 p.m., at Jerome Home, 975 Corbin Ave., New Britain. The July 17 topic is herb and container gardens and the Aug. 5 topic is plants that clean the air. There is no charge to attend.
Eleveld, a Kensington resident and founder of The People Plant Connection, presents gardening lectures throughout the area and programs at senior living communities and schools to promote people’s connection with the earth, provide social interaction and promote well-being.
