MERIDEN, CT — A Massachusetts man faces up to nine months in prison in connection to a fatal 2014 crash that killed a Meriden man and his two young children, according to multiple reports, including the Meriden Record-Journal. Darin Robinson, 26, and his 3-year-old son Dacari and 9-year-old daughter Sanaa all died from injuries sustained in the Oct. 12, 2014 crash on I-95 in Waterford. Robinson’s fiancée Baughnita Leary was seriously injured in the crash but survived.

The New London Day reports Gerard Dube, 62, pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of negligent homicide and reckless driving. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 23, 2018.

Leary was operating her Nissan Sentra and slowing down for congestion when she was struck from behind by Dube, who was driving a tractor-trailer for Gold Medal Bakery and struck several other vehicles, according to the Day.
