Man With 2 Identities Facing Deportation In Meriden
The man at the center of a courthouse protest last week was living under two identities, according to a report.

MERIDEN, CT - The man at the center of a courthouses protest last week was living under two identities and faces impaired driving charges, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. The man allegedly gave his name as Elias Roblero-Berduo and was arrested in December 2016 and January 2017 on impaired driving charges.
However, after he was in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, they found he was Arnoldo Velazquez-Perez, a Mexican national.

His arrest at the courthouse by ICE last week resulted in a protest and the arrest of a city councilor who police said assaulted judicial marshals.
Velazquez has previously been deported from the US twice in 2010 and 2018. An ICE official he will be held in their custody pending his removal from the country.
