Man Armed With Knife Robs Meriden Stores

Several similar armed robberies were reported Tuesday night.

MERIDEN, CT - Police are investigating after similar armed robberies occurred in Meriden and Southington, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Each armed robbery included a man armed with a knife and a bandanna covering his face.

The first report was in Meriden around 10 p.m. Valero at 1101 E. Main St. Then a similar robbery occurred just before midnight at the Henny Penny in Southington, where the man took $150 from the register and packs of cigarettes.

Around 1 a.m., another armed robbery was reported in Meriden at Sam's Food Stores at 343 W. Main St., with the man fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
