Man Charged In Meriden Motel Bomb Threat Incident
A man was charged after he allegedly reported placing a bomb at the door of his room at a North Broad Street motel.

MERIDEN, CT - A man was brought up on charges that he reported he had placed a bomb on the door of his room at the Elwood Motel, the Meriden Record-Journal reported. Oscar Rodriguez, 25, of West Hartford, was charged with first-degree false statement.
The Feb. 2 incident involved a 911 call from a man who claimed he would kill himself and "take police with him." However, police determined there was no bomb. Read the full story in the Record-Journal.
