Man Charged with Stabbing His Girlfriend to Death in Meriden : PD
The alleged killer turned himself and was held on a $1 million bond.

MERIDEN, CT --- A Danbury man was arrested after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death in Meriden on Wednesday, police are reporting.
Police answered a call for a stabbing at 63 South 3rd Street. A man outside the residence told the officers that he believed there was a woman inside the house who had been stabbed by her boyfriend.
Inside the house, officers discovered a 21-year-old woman who had been stabbed at least once in the chest. Police called EMS, who treated the woman for her injuries. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The identity of the woman has not yet been made public.

The victim's boyfriend, Mateus Nascimento-Dacosta, 20, turned himself in the Waterbury Police while these events were transpiring, police are reporting. Nascimento-Dacosta was charged with violation of a protective order after being transported back to Meriden, and was held on a $1 million bond.
Police say the stabbing is still under investigation and that additional charges are forthcoming.
