Man Distributes Heroin, Fentanyl: Feds
This matter stems from an investigation into the overdose death of a 39-year-old man in Meriden, officials said.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Scott Mathews, 34, of North Branford has been indicted by a federal grand jury with one count of distribution of heroin and fentanyl, said John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, in a news release.
The indictment was returned on Nov. 7. Mathews entered a plea of not guilty to the charge, and was released on a $100,000 bond. This matter stems from an investigation into the overdose death of a 39-year-old man at a hotel in Meriden in November 2017, officials said.
The indictment alleges that, on November 8, 2017, Mathews distributed heroin and fentanyl, federal authorities said.
