Man Shot Inside Bar In Meriden: Police

Police are investigating the shooting, which occurred over the weekend.

MERIDEN, CT — A man sustained non-life threatening injuries after being shot inside a bar early Saturday morning in Meriden, according to police. Meriden Police responded to the Red Room Grille, located at 575 North Colony Road, at about 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 on the report of shots fired.

Responding officers confirmed that numerous shots had been fired inside the bar after multiple shell casings were found. A couple of hours later, as evidence was being collected, police were contacted by the staff at MidState Medical Center that a gunshot victim had arrived there for treatment, according to Sgt. Darrin McKay.

The victim had left the scene prior to police arrival. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from the hospital, according to McKay.
