Man Shot By Meriden Police Claims Racial Profiling

Police deny the allegations, saying that the man was carrying a firearm.

MERIDEN, CT - A local man who was shot by police recently is claiming he was racially profiled, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Police officials called the claim "ridiculous."

The officer-involved shooting occurred at the CVS parking lot on East Main Street Oct. 18.

Police said that the suspect, Ryan Holley, 41 exited the car with a gun in his hand and was still moving when three officers fired at him. Police had previously been tailing Holley's vehicle when a firearm discharged in the car.
