Man Stabbed Inside Business In Meriden: Police

A man was hospitalized after being attacked and stabbed inside the business, according to police.

MERIDEN, CT — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed inside a business Friday afternoon in Meriden, according to police.

Police responded around 1:55 p.m. on Feb. 13 to Meriden Mart & Deli on Pratt Street on the report of a stabbing, according to Lt. Darrin McKay.

McKay said officers located a “conscious and alert” 45-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He had been attacked and stabbed inside the business, according to McKay.

Medical aid was rendered by the Meriden Fire Department and Hunters Ambulance, according to McKay.

McKay said the victim was taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut for additional medical treatment.
