Mandalas: Sands and Symbolism
Sunday morning practice and talk at the Buddhist Faith Fellowship on March 8, 2015

During this talk we will learn about the history of mandalas, ways they are used for engaging with the dharma, and what the meaning is of various symbols found in mandalas. Also, this talk and Q & A will look in how mandalas can support our practice.
What is a mandala? It is a spiritual and ritual device that symbolizes in visual form the essence of the Buddhist teachings, the nature of the mind or the Pure Land. Mandalas serve to support a meditator’s practice as well as they are often used in tantric practices.
A short Introduction to Meditation Training session will be held before the gathering at 9:45 a.m.
