Meriden Begins By-Appointment Bulk Waste Collection
The city is changing how bulk waste is picked up from residences.

MERIDEN, CT - In response to residents’ concerns and to increase efficiency of the collection process, the City of Meriden is adopting a new APPOINTMENT ONLY Bulky Waste Curbside Collection Program.
From January 2, 2019 through March 29, 2019, qualified residential properties will have the opportunity to schedule the collection of approved bulky items. (See below for a list of some of the approved and unapproved items.) Each residential property, six (6) units or fewer, is allowed to make an appointment for the pick up of five (5) items or less. There will be a $10 fee for this service.
To make an appointment, call Meriden Parks & Recreation at (203) 630-4259 or stop by the 460 Liberty Street office to fill out an application. We will not schedule an appointment until your application is filled out and your fee is paid. If you have questions about what items are allowed for this program, please give us a call.
