Winds will be sustained during this time between 15-25 mph and gusts could exceed 45-50 mph, the National Weather Service.
Significant snow threat late Sunday into Monday.
On Thursday the National Weather Service expressed doubt about a significant snowstorm for late Sunday but that has changed somewhat.
In its Hazardous Weather Outlook bulletin the weather service says this morning that “low pressure will track south of Long Island Sunday night and Monday. The exact track and timing of the system are still uncertain. There is a potential for six inches or more of snow.”
It still doesn’t like a confident prediction by the National Weather Service. If it does snow, they expect it will begin falling likely after the Super Bowl has ended anywhere between 10 p.m. Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday.
