Meriden Fire Department Fights Barn Blaze
Flames were escaping the structure's roof when crews arrived at the scene Thursday afternoon.

MERIDEN, CT - The Meriden Fire Department fought a barn fire during the course of several hours Thursday afternoon. The fire occurred at 743 Murdock Ave. where hay had been stacked up to the structure's roof, according to fire officials. Four fire engines plus two other vehicles responded to the emergency.
