Meriden To Hold First Citizen’s Fire Academy

MERIDEN, CT — The Meriden Fire Department has announced the dates for its inaugural Citizen's Fire Academy. Classes begin on September 6 and will run for eight weeks.

The Citizen's Fire Academy is open to anyone 18-years-of-age or older who either works or lives in Meriden and has no felony convictions. (To sign up for Meriden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Classes are limited to 20 students. Spots are first come, first served. Preference will be given to Meriden residents.
